The Ankeny Fire Department is led by a full-time administration that includes a fire chief, two deputy chiefs, and a fire marshal. Part-time, paid-on-call line officers, support officers and other administrative staff support the chief officers. The department has 21 fulltime firefighter/paramedics working a rotating 24 on/48 off schedule. The Department is served by one full-time administrative personnel.
