ANKENY, Iowa (June 15, 2012) - The Ankeny Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in locating a vehicle of interest in the shooting of the Ankeny Police Department. The shooting occurred over the weekend of April 27, 2012. Surveillance video from the Department security cameras show multiple shots being fired from a vehicle driving west along SW Ordnance Rd. Those shots were fired from the driver’s side of the vehicle as it proceeded past our building.

The vehicle of interest was identified by reviewing surveillance footage from businesses in the area around the Ankeny Police Department Headquarters. Detectives are seeking help from the public in identifying this vehicle.
