MEDIA ADVISORY: Intersection at SE 3rd Street and SE Trilein Drive to close for sewer improvements
WHAT:
Road closure due to continued work on the Southeast Area Sewer Improvements Project.
WHERE:
Intersection of SE 3rd Street and SE Trilein Drive. Detour routes will be established on SE Wanda, SE Peterson, SE Sharon and SE 2nd Streets. Access to the Ankeny Presbyterian Church will be from SE 4th Street east of SE Sharon Drive.
WHEN:
The intersection will close at 8 a.m. on Thursday, June 28 and will be in place for approximately one month.
WHY:
The closure is part of the Southeast Area Sewer Improvements Project that will provide additional sanitary sewer capacity for the southeast area of Ankeny. The project also includes new storm sewer to alleviate localized street flooding and surface runoff.
SE Uehlamar Drive remains closed at the intersection with SE Trilein Drive, as does SE Trilein Drive between SE Third Street and SE Uehlamar. These road closures are expected to last until mid-July.
