Monetary and time contributions from individuals, families, businesses, and local organizations ensure that the library continues to offer collections, services, and programs that are dynamic and reflect our community's needs and expectations.
Volunteering at the Library
Participants in the library’s volunteer program perform a variety of tasks including shelving books and preparing materials for children’s programs.
Volunteers must be at least 12 years old.

The Kirkendall Public Library Foundation
The Kirkendall Public Library Foundation was formed in 2007 to operate for charitable, educational and literary purposes for the enhancement and improvement of the Kirkendall Public Library.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the library foundation. Donations to the foundation go toward new books and other circulating materials, new technology, library programming, and other resources. Donations to the library foundation are tax-deductible, to the extent allowed by law.

Bucks for Books!
The Foundation is kicking off the New Year with the 2008 Bucks for Books project. As demand for library resources has increased, the budget is struggling to keep pace. What we need now is a quick boost -- an emergency infusion of 1000 volumes. We currently offer 2.39 volumes per resident for our patrons. The average for libraries of our population size is 4.18 per resident! We need to offer more books for our patrons!
To accomplish this we need to raise $20,000. We already have a good start, since members of the Foundation and other friends of the library have already contributed to this goal. But we need your help!
What can you do?
