Renewing Materials Materials can be renewed twice if not requested by other borrowers. Renewals may be made at the circulation desk, by phone during regular library hours (515-965-6460), or via the
Library's Online Catalog.
Returning Materials Materials can be returned 24 hours a day at the drop box located at the exterior of the building near the main entrance or at the circulation desk during library hours. Materials returned to the drop box before the library opens will be backdated to the previous day. Fines on overdue items stop the moment materials are returned.
Hold Requests If the item you’re looking for is checked out, you may place a hold request on the item by phone (515-965-6460), via the
Library's Online Catalog,
or at the circulation desk. You will receive an email or phone call
notifying you when the item is ready for pick-up. After you receive
notification, the item will be held for five days.
Purchase Requests
The library is glad to accept requests for additions to the collection. All requests are given serious consideration within the constraints of budget and selection policy. If the item you request is purchased, you will be notified when it is available for check out. Purchase requests can be placed online, by calling 515-965-6460, or at the circulation desk.
Interlibrary Loan Requests
The library's interlibrary loan service allows borrowers to obtain nearly any item owned by a library in the United States
