Our Services
The Municipal Utilities Department includes the Water Utility, the Wastewater Utility and the Stormwater Division.
Responsibilities within Water Utility include all activities relating to the delivery of drinking water, including storage, pump stations and water mains.
The Wastewater Utility is responsible for wastewater collection, lift stations and the operation of the wastewater treatment plant.
The Stormwater Division is responsible for the City’s activities relative to stormwater quality and implementing the requirements of the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit issued by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
The Municipal Utilities Department also assists in establishing and overseeing water, wastewater and storm water improvements.
